ROSA HOLDER
My name is Rosa Holder and I believe in providing 1st class customer service with a smile. I’m a strong role model to my family and friends. I love my family, they keep me grounded and dedicated in what I believe in. I have a flair for being creative with Microsoft, Word and PowerPoint to develop forms and flyers. I am always finding ways to improve my skills everyday. Right now I am a part-time volunteer as a secretary to a new dance studio. I am responsible for creating the packages for the different programs for students ages 2 ½ to 30+. In addition, I’ve had the opportunity to create the 1st props for the 1st recital that will be held in June 2011. I go above and beyond the call of duty to finish a project. I love to win the admiration and respect of others. I’ve inherited openness to new places, people, cultures and customs; and a very clear understanding of confidentiality. I have the unusual ability in dealing with people of all ages, cultures and conditions. Those qualities combined with my toughness of character have enabled me to have an understanding and empathize with others. I never lose touch of who I am and I’m very passionate about my work. I throw myself into my assigned projects wholeheartedly.
I am Bronx bred native New Yorker. I reside in Rahway, NJ. The people are very friendly and hospitable. Rahway is rich in culture. My favorite is the Rahway Arts District. The Rahway Arts District is a lively cultural community where the visual arts, theatre, performing arts, music and crafts offer exciting events and activities in the arts and culture throughout the year.
They always kickoff the fall season of the First Thursday with an event called The Rocktoberfest. Rahway Arts District has some of the area’s best independent bands, great food and a great opportunity to help a good cause.
I am not only good humored and friendly, I am also good at determining other people’s level of knowledge and attitudes.
My daughter had a successful kidney transplant last year, which has made me determined to give back to the community. I will be volunteering my services at one of the many hospitals in New York. Someone was brave enough to put their life on the line to give my daughter life so my way of giving back is to be grateful and thankful in extending my services to the Volunteer Services Department to make a difference in someone else’s life. In doing that, I’ve accomplished one of my many goals.
I am intelligent and sensitive. My rule of thumb in my everyday life is to be:
-devoted
-determined
-discreet
Last but not least, be a delight like a box of chocolates.
A few of my hobbies are Calligraphy writing, poetry, reading and speed walking just to name a few.
